A tourism sale program which was attend to boost the tourism activities in Davao City, provided not only an increase in tourist arrivals but also a venue for private-public sector collaboration for the city’s tourism sector.
The Department of Tourism -XI ,together with institutional partners is now ready to promote and sell new discounted tour packages at the region for summer 2016.
For Visit Davao Fun Sale 2016 (VDFS), Samal eco-tourism tour and island tours take fronts seat. The Samal Inland Tour (PHP1,450) highlights a trip to to a Samal beach resort, Samal Dairy Farm, Monfort Batcave and Hagimit Falls. The Samal-Talikud Island Tour (PhP1,600) meanwhile, include swimming and snorkeling activities at coral garden, Babusanta,Angel’s Cove/Mansud Wall and Gian Clam Sanctuary.
Also offered for nature and indigenous culture enthusiasts is the Samal Agri-cultural tour (PhP2,200)composed of a rice farming experience, trip to Mangongawong Falls, guided snorkellng or horseback riding experience and an interaction with Samal indigenous community.
On the other hand, a vanishing island sunset tour, which is composed of a trip to Sanipaan Sand Bar in Samal and a mangrove tour will also be offered(PhP900).
The usual Davao City Tour, composed of a trip Museo Dabawenyo, city hall, Jack’s Ridge, Holy Infant Jesus Shrine, durian candy factory, Crocodile Park, will as well be offered at a discounted rate of PhP580. Tourists may also avail the countryside tour composed of trips to Philippine Eagle Center and Eden Nature Park and Resort for PhP1,650. For nature and adventure seeking tourists, the Marilog Highland Agri-Tour (PhP1,270) and Mt. Apo Trekking (PhP5,000) are offered.
The early promotions of VDFS 2016 is aimed to ensure tourists from outside Davao City to, as early as now, consider Davao Region as their vacation destinations for next year’s summer season.
Visit Davao Fun Sale 2016 will run from March 25 to May 31,2016.
