The spirit of bayanihan shines brightest, especially in times like these. With fuel prices and everyday costs rising because of global events, Filipinos continue to find strength in one another.

To help lighten the load and ease daily expenses, Skyro, an SEC-registered fintech company in the country, through its corporate social responsibility initiative, SkyroShares, recently held a food pack distribution drive to support the community in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig.

Around 500 families received food packs containing essential items such as rice, canned goods, noodles, and drinking water.

“This is more than a food distribution drive, it is Skyro demonstrating its solidarity and commitment to Filipinos, reminding them that they are not alone in this crisis. Even in the face of economic challenges, we hope to bring hope and reassurance to these communities,” said IyaLelyanova, Skyro Head of Marketing.

Echoing this sentiment, Hon. Jane Santos, Bagumbayan Barangay Captain, shared how the initiative helped their community, “In times like these, when many families are feeling the weight of rising costs, initiatives like this remind us that the spirit of bayanihan is very much alive. We are deeply grateful to Skyro for standing with our community—not just through the food packs, but by uplifting the morale of our residents across different sectors, including those in transport, fisherfolks, solo parents, PWDs, senior citizens, and members of various Homeowners’ Associations. This kind of partnership brings real relief and hope to Barangay Bagumbayan.”

The initiative reflects Skyro’s commitment to bringing hope, happiness, and support to Filipinos. Lelyanova shared that this is just the beginning, as Skyro plans to reach more communities across the country.
