Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) led by president Domingo H. Yap, EVP Henry Lim Bon Liong and VP Mary Go Ng recently signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with ABS-CBS Broadcasting Corporation’s philanthropic arm ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation (ACLKP) led by OIC Josine Sandejas Reyes, chief financial officer Lita Lara and deputy manager Marcel Rinon for the donation and construction of five public school buildings in the Philippines’ economically-disadvantaged rural areas to be recommended by the foundation.Domingo Yap said: “Ever since 1961, FFCCCII’s ‘Operation: Barrio Schools’ has already turned over 5,500 public school buildings nationwide. These public schools donations have been made possible due to donations from our officers and other members of the Filipino Chinese community who want to share their blessings to our public school students.”
FFCCCII believes that democratic access to good-quality education for all children is an effective solution to the country’s age-old problems of poverty and social injustice.
