Having established itself in its commitment for excellence in health science education, particularly in Nursing, Medical Technology, Psychology and Radiologic Technology, the Chinese General Hospital Colleges (CGHC) opens additional programs for students who are interested to pursue Senior High School, BS Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Medicine. Since 1921, the CGHC BS Nursing program has set its track record of 100% passing rate for first takers in the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination with individual board top placers. It is recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as among the top performing colleges of nursing in the Philippines. More recently, it has also been granted Level I accreditation status by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU).
Like so, the CGHC programs in BS Medical Technology, BS Psychology, and BS Radiologic Technology also made their pioneering mark with 100% passing rate in their respective licensure examinations for their initial batch of graduates.
More than just academic excellence, CGHC has maintained one of the lowest tuition fees with flexible payment schemes and scholarship support. As a non-stock non-profit institution subsidized by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association, Inc. (PCCAI), CGHC seeks to provide the public an option and an opportunity for quality health science education at reasonable cost.
Just across the street of CGHC is its base hospital, the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC), a PhilHealth Accredited Center of Excellence and ISO 9001:2008 Certified hospital with 592 bed capacity and 100 beds for charity cases. The CGHMC is known for providing quality health care since 1891 and is considered one of the oldest yet most advanced tertiary community hospitals in the country. With CGHMC as complement training partner, the CGHC ensures rich hands-on clinical learning experience for its students, as well as, priority hiring and immediate employment of its graduates.
Equipped with up-to-date resources, CGHC ventures into opening three more programs for the students – Senior High School, BS Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Medicine.
The CGHC Senior High School is focused on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) track. The CGHC BS Physical Therapy program, on the other hand, is geared towards outcomes based curriculum on rehabilitation science. Lastly, the CGHC Doctor of Medicine program boasts of complete faculty line-up of expert academicians and clinicians, and well-rounded clinical programs with emphasis on current best medical practices and integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
With the increasing world-wide demand for health care services, CGHC heeds the call to fill the need with Competent, Global, Humanitarian and Committed health care providers.
